Embracing Tradition. Enhancing Care.
Alawoye
Birth Centers
We are establishing community birth centers that prioritize culturally relevant traditional practices and foster collaboration over colonial paradigms internationally, especially in regions where midwives are central to care.
Global Project
Our first center will be established in Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria. The establishment of a cutting-edge center that integrates the expertise of Agbẹ̀bí (traditional midwives) with modern medical practices. This innovative approach will deliver enhanced, safe, and comprehensive care to families. We are optimistic that this model will be adopted in each country where we operate through the Repair and Reconnect Initiative.

Our Offerings
Our center will offer high-quality, affordable care to the local community, prioritizing the integration of Agbẹ̀bí practices and promoting a balanced approach to childbirth, addressing the growing concern of overmedicalization in Nigeria and fostering true collaboration with the medical professionals. Patients will have access to six private birthing suites, each with its own waiting area, designed to create an empowering and personalized birthing experience. We will offer a holistic approach, integrating traditional practices, including on-site medicinal herbs for concoctions, with modern medical resources such as ultrasounds, blood collection, techs, nurse-midwives, doctors, and more.

Educational Opportunities
Our center will offer educational opportunities and cross cultural exchange for doctors, midwives, nurses, and doulas from diverse communities and backgrounds, fostering collaboration and contributing to the advancement of our integrated care methods.
