Chief Iyalaje Ifaleke Ifaponle Ojeniyi is from Osogbo, Osun State, to the Ifaleke Ogunjinmi family. Despite financial constraints, she learned hairdressing and traditional birth attendance from her father. After marrying and becoming a widow, she pursued her spiritual calling under Araba Oyagoke Adisa Eleye and Oluwo Ifasola Ogunjinmi. Initiated as an Ifa/Orisa priestess, she now excels in counseling, healing, and divination. She also holds various leadership roles in her community. Chief Mrs. Ojeniyi's dedication to her craft and community is truly inspiring

Babalawo Amoo Awosunwon, a revered Ifa Priest and Traditional Birth Attendant, was born in Osogbo, Osun State, in the 1970s. He embarked on his spiritual journey, learning from esteemed priests like Oluwo Ifasola Ogunjinmi and Chief Onifade Olaifa. He became a full-fledged Ifa Priest in 1998 and a skilled Traditional Birth Attendant in 2004. He has a passion for birth work and community service. He holds various leadership roles in his community with a true dedication to serving his community and preserving traditional knowledge.

Kalia Loper (Iya) is a proud woman, daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, Olorisa, and Iyanifa. For 30 years, she has advocated for African American women, working to bridge cultural gaps and break down barriers. As an elder birth worker, Iya founded Afro Village Doulas and co-founded Gremmum's Way, empowering African American women through education, support, and community building. She serves her community as a speaker, educator, and Traditional Ifa/Orisa priestess, hosting women's circles, community events, and cultural sessions. Iya is dedicated to healing, uplifting, and empowering African American women through honoring their cultures and traditions

Olajumoke Ademiluyi is a seasoned healthcare professional with over 30 years of experience. She holds a triple designation as a Registered Nurse, Certified Midwife, and Master of Public Health. Olajumoke has made a positive impact in her community through health interventions and is a sought-after speaker, sharing her expertise in public health in various forums. She is also a member of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives, demonstrating her commitment to the field.
 

Opaola Adesina Awoyemi, is an Ifa priest and herbalist from Arewekoko Compound, Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria. With decades of training and experience, He's honed his skills in using herbs to heal various life-threatening diseases. Under the guidance of the late Araba Ifagbemi Onifade Omotoso, a revered mentor and one of the greatest of his time, Opaola learned the importance of persistence and reticence. His mission is to make the world a better place, while bringing healing, hope, and smiles to those in need through the transformative power of herbs and healing.

Adekunle A. Akangbe is a US-based artist, craftsman, and Babalawo (Ifa/Orisa priest) from Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria. He comes from a long line of Yoruba woodcarvers and is spiritually connected to Ifa/Orishá practice. As a Babalawo, Adekunle is dedicated to preserving and promoting Yoruba culture and spirituality. He conducts Ifa ceremonies, divination, initiation rituals, and spiritual work focused on pregnancy and birth outcomes, guiding individuals on their spiritual journeys.

Through his art and spiritual practice, Adekunle aims to bridge cultures and bring the vibrant spirit of the Yoruba people to the forefront of international art. He continues to honor his Nigerian roots, preserving the essence of his cultural heritage for generations to come.

Sauleiha Ifashikemi Akangbe is a fourth-generation birth worker, with a lifelong passion for supporting women in childbirth that began in her teenage years. As a traditional midwife, full-spectrum doula, community advocate, mentor, and health equity specialist, she has dedicated her career to empowering women and families. Sauleiha has developed innovative programs at a leading US hospital, supporting countless women in childbirth and advocating for their rights. As the founder of Olomo Lo L'aye, she is committed to bridging the gap between the diaspora and Africa, promoting cultural exchange and understanding in the birth justice movement.
